Brimstone Sanitarium : Established in 1922 for African-American tuberculosis patients, this complex was later used as a mental hospital. This afternoon was rainy and dark, so another, longer trip will be planned for a sunnier day.

West Harbor Power Plant : Founded in 1906, this giant coal-fired power plant was used in the filming of 12 Monkeys. It is now closed and has plans for redevelopment into upscale condos and townhomes. This gallery encompasses photos from 4 different visits over the course of one year. Goodbye, Hollaback.

Pembroke State 2003 : Explorations of the Pembroke State Asylum in September of 2003. Images are scans from photos taken with my first 35mm camera. Rosedale has since then had mishaps from careless explorers and is now virtually off-limits due to heavy security.
