schmoo > Not sure what happened to this building, but here are massive holes in the walls, interior and exterior.
schmoo > Because every single apartment had the same layout, we left fairly quickly. The stray dog barking at us inside on the 3rd floor helped, too.
schmoo > A deceptively beautiful theater. The outside of the building is square and boring. It could not be more misleading once you get inside....
schmoo > The stage area is almost pitch black, the only light coming from one hole in the ceiling and one hole in the wall (stage right). Accomplice not included.
schmoo > The mess left of the chairs is saddening.
schmoo > Some of them remain in decent condition, despite the weather and age.
schmoo > The theater was once designed in a neo-classical European style, designed to take the viewer into a fantasy world. Currently the wall and ceiling are partially collapsed, but there is almost no graffiti or other traditional vandalism present here. The remains of two pianos by the stage tell of another time.
schmoo > Self-portrait in a backstage mirror, proving that the air and light quality of this place is horrible.
schmoo > Comfy chair for the guy running the film reels. A logo of the theater is on the side.
schmoo > Empty film reel. Much of the film was scattered on the floor.
schmoo > How long has this soda been sitting here? 30 years?
schmoo > The projection room looking like an antique chemistry classroom.
schmoo > Above the theater were offices and apartments.
